Holiday Fun this Weekend! Longmont Lights Holiday Festival & Parade

The City of Longmont presents the 2017 Longmont Lights Holiday Festival and Parade!

Friday and Saturday Evening at 5PM
Fireworks starting a 7:45 on Friday!!!!

Enjoy holiday crafts and activities under sparkling lights and sounds of the holiday season!

Longmont Lights Annual Winter Celebration in Longmont

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, look no further than the Longmont Lights celebration! Thousands of sparkling lights illuminate downtown and nearby parks, creating a winter wonderland that everyone can appreciate and enjoy. There will be plenty to do on both Friday and Saturday evening, December 9th and 10th. Check it all out below!



Friday, December 9th, 5 - 9pm


Santa's Workshop 5 - 8:30pm

Join Home Depot in creating a free family craft in this parent/child workshop, geared for kids aged 10 & under. Kids can see Santa from 5-8 pm but please be prepared - due to Santa's overwhelming schedule, the line to see him will be cut off early in order to adhere to the closing time of 8pm.


Minion Tent 5 - 9pm

Bob, Stuart and Kevin (the Minions) will be at the Xfinity tent located in the St. Vrain Memorial Building. Come get a photo, free gifts and hot chocolate!


Live Reindeer 5 - 9pm

A few live reindeer with be at the St.  Vrain Memorial Building!


Snow Globe Memories 5 - 9pm

In the courtyard of the St. Vrain Memorial Building, you can jump into a huge snow globe to snap a photo! 


Open Skating - 10am - 5:45pm

The City's Ice Pavilion will be open throughout the day, and will have a Holiday Ice Show from 6 - 7:30pm.


Fireworks Display - 8:45pm

Fireworks will be bursting through the air at Roosevelt Park, weather permitting.

Train Rides will be running from 5 - 9pm, with the line ending at 8:30pm.

Fire pits will be available on the walk around Roosevelt Park, along with hot cocoa carts and food trucks.



Saturday December 10th , 10am - 5pm


Open Ice Skating 10am - 9pm

The City's Ice Pavilion will be open throughout the day. Regular fees apply.


Annual Winter Gathering 3 - 5pm

COME SEE US at our Old Town Office downtown before the parade starts! We'll have hot cocoa, cocktails and wine. Feel free to bring your family and friends, too - this is a family friendly event. Our neighbors at LVS Antiques will have hot cider and homemade cardamom rolls, too!

Don't forget to enter our fishbowl drawing to win a Nest Learning Thermostat...


Winter Wonderland Parade 5pm

Main Street will be illuminated with the lights of over 60 floats this year. The route will travel from 3rd Avenue to 8th Avenue, which offers an additional block of viewing than in past years.
