As the temperatures warm up this month, we're looking for cold drinks, delicious small plates and feel-good environments. There are many happy hour spots to choose from but we've collected one from each of the 9 areas that we specialize in - that way, no matter where you find yourself in the late afternoon, you'll know just where to go!

 

Cafe Aion . 1235 Pennsylvania . Boulder, CO

3-6pm, ALL NIGHT Monday & Tuesday

The tapas-inspired happy hour provides cozy atmosphere as well as delicious drinks and tastes. You'll be able to sample bites such as Moroccan spiced pork sliders, fried cauliflower with saffron yogurt and mussels for only $2 - $7. The cherry on top? There are desserts on happy hour, too! Whether you're craving savory or sweet, Cafe Aion has something to suit everyone. To wash it all down, the drinks are $3-$6 and include varieties such as wine, rotating cocktails and house-made red and white sangria.

People don't only come to The Roost for the bowl of Roost Pickles - though they are spicy perfection for $2! The Longmont community enjoys the innovative drinks and the delicious snacks that this happy hour spot provides. As of April 25th, the rooftop patio will be open for those who enjoy seeing the sun off in the evening and finishing their drinks beneath strands of hanging lights from above. The $3 Rocks Margarita is a favorite, as are the $3 Polenta Bites - complete with house smoked tomato puree, local Haystack Mountain goat cheese and balsamic reduction.

 

Treppeda's . 300 2nd Ave . Niwot, CO

5-6:30pm, Monday - Saturday

Treppeda's is well known for it's extensive wine list, which includes selections from northeast Italy, north and northwest, central areas, south and islands, as well as various California vintages. The staff is well educated and happy to help you select! During happy hour, house wine by the glass goes for $3.75. Cocktails are $3.50 - $6, and small plates for $3-$9. Some small plates on the menu include bruschetta with house-made ricotta and olive miste, which is the chef's selection of marinated mixed olives.

Bogey's Eatery & Spirits . 6525 Gunpark Dr. Suite 380 Boulder, CO

As Gunbarrel's only full service restaurant and bar, Bogey's is the perfect spot to cheers with friends and enjoy great food with the locals.  Their custom-built 16 tap systems delivers chilled beer each and every time, with 6 local brews on tap and 10 more on standby at any given moment. The happy hour menu is offered from 3-9pm and includes bacon-wrapped poppers, wings, hummus with pita bread and half nachos grande. There are daily drinks specials ranging from $2.50 - $5.00.

Enjoy the year-round patio with friends or colleagues, and even bring your four-legged family members! They created a custom dog yard adjacent to the patio that is open year round, so your dog can soak up the sun, too.

Nearly 20 years ago, nestled in the quiet town of Lyons, CO Oskar Blues opened it's doors. It is the birthplace of Dale's Pale Ale and the home of the brewery as well, which means they have one awesome happy hour! There is always a daily hour hour special, so be sure to ask the server... But you can always count on $2.50 sliders (BLT, catfish, pulled pork or buffalo chicken style) and a variety of mini nachos to please any palette.

The Old Mine took up residence in an old mercantile building in history downtown Erie.They feature hard cider and beer, with 15 tapes and a fully stocked beer cellar. Their vision is to connect the local community with the beer community in a welcome atmosphere that beckons you to sit and enjoy. The best part? They have made 'hoppy hour' all their own by offering $1 off drafts, pizzas and sandwiches across their menu -many of which are packed with locally sourced ingredients, so you can feel good about eating that pizza.

This is a farm-to-table style restaurant that creates flavorful dishes using very fresh ingredients (organic when possible), and provides an extensive wine list to match. With authentic Italian options, you simply can't go wrong settling in for their special prices from 4-6pm during the week. $3 small plates include choices such as truffle flies, calamari, Italian sausage sliders and salads. Drinks range $3 - $7.

Pull up a chair! The Post Brewing Company designs beers to perfectly pair with various meals on their menu, and their happy hour selections are no exception. With a comfort-cooked feel and a fantastic patio to enjoy in warmer weather, you can't go wrong choosing this spot. You can snack on deviled eggs for $1 each or a fried chicken biscuit for $4. Drinks range $2.50 - $5 and all draft beers are $1 off.

Sushi Yama . 1627 E. Colton Rd . Superior, CO

2:30 - 5pm, Monday - Saturday

This sushi spot in Superior had it's grand opening in September of 2014 and already has loyal customers that bring family and friends to join them in their visits. Happy hour specials include 40% off basic rolls, 20% off specialty rolls, $1 sashimi pieces and BOGO beer!
